4 Months

WOW...Can you believe it's been 4 months since Hailie's arrival. It's been quite a ride! Hailie has brought so much joy to our lives. It's hard to image them without her.

At 4 months she is 12 lbs 11 oz (30 percentile) and 25 in (90 percentile). No idea where the height is coming from. She is an extremely happy baby even fighting a really bad cold, asthma and ear infections (we're on the 3rd). She loves taking a bath, being naked, playing with her Daddy and chewing on anything she can get in her mouth (especially fingers). She's so interested in the world around her that she hates to take a nap. She's started rolling over which has become a real problem in the middle of the night. One of these days we'll get a good nights sleep again.

MLS Cup Game

Last Sunday, Real Salt Lake played in the MLS Cup (the Super bowl for soccer) against the LA Galaxy.  As much as we wanted to go to Seattle to watch the game in person it just wasn't in the stars.  So, we did the next best thing and had a watch party at the Pub.  The game was awesome.  It came down to penalty kicks and RSL came out on top.  (We have a great goalie.)  This is the 1st major sport championship in the state of Utah since 1984!  We like to think Hailie is the good luck charm!  She's the littlest big RSL fan!

This is how Hailie celebrated RSL's big win.  No amount of cheering was going to wake this tired fan. 

Yeah Fall!

Fall is by far the best season! A couple of weeks ago we took advantage of the great weather and went up American Fork and Provo Canyons to see the changing leaves. Along the way we took some great photos.

Hailie has discovered her voice and LOVES to use it. She prefers to have someone talk back but she is just fine chatting with her jungle animals. Here are a couple little videos of her chatting with the animals.

'Bout Time Pub & Grub

On Sept 29th, 'Bout Time Pub & Grub finally opened their doors. This has been a side project for Trevor and has kept him very busy for the last couple months (it's been an exciting summer). The pub is a little place in Jordan Landing not far from Ruby Tuesday. He'll continue to manage at Ruby's and just oversee the pub.

Opening night was a huge success. Thanks to all our family and friends that showed up to support us.

Our Trip to the Zoo

Last week we spent a day at Hogle Zoo. They were debuting their brand new baby elephant who was born 2 days after Hailie. They also have a baby giraffe, 3 tiger cubs, a snow leopard cub and baby meerkats. It's the year of babies at the zoo! Hailie slept most of the day but we had a great time.

One Month

It's been a very busy and exciting month. We've had a lot of great visitors and many firsts. (1st car ride, 1st bath, 1st soccer game, etc) The coming months will bring many more firsts and we hope lots of visitors! We are blessed with a great family and friends.

MLS All-star Game

On July 29th we got to go to the Major League Soccer All-star Game. We played a great game but the winner was decided by penalty kicks. Unfortunately the MLS All-stars lost to Everton (soccer club from England).

Buca thinks it's her room

The nursery is done!

It took us a long time to agree on a theme but at long last it is done. Trevor painted the wall. He did a great job! Ziggy is going to love it!

Race for the Cure 2009

We did the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure again this year. Our team raised $270 for the cause. We had a great time!

Trip to San Francisco

In April we took a quick trip to San Francisco to visit family. While there we got to go to a Giants game and see Wicked the musical. This was the baby's 1st (and definitely not the last) Major League baseball game.
