Disneyland

At the end of June, we made an impromptu visit to Southern California to spend one last weekend in San Diego at Nana and Papa's house. We were able to squeeze in a day at Disneyland. Hailie was absolutely in heaven. Meeting Minnie Mouse has to be the highlight of her life to date. Minnie was so cute with her. She bent down and gave her a hug and let Hailie give her a kiss on the cheek. Hailie had met her hero. She also got to meet Mickey and Goofy. We rode some great rides, too. She beat Aunt Kari's score on the Buzz Lightyear Blasters, went on the Mad Tea Party Teacups, and got to ride on Pirates of the Caribbean. We got a great spot for the parade and she waved to every one of the floats. At the end of the day, she got to meet 3 Disney Princesses: Mulan, Ariel, and her favorite, Belle. It was a great day of fun for all of us, but watching Hailie on her first Disneyland adventure was awesome! And of course, she got her first pair of personalized Minnie Mouse ears!

Farewell, San Diego

We've had a bit of whirlwind summer so far so we've been a little slow to update the blog.  It's going to take a couple posts to catch up on all the fun we've been having but I'll start with San Diego.

The beginning of June, we found out we were losing our vacation home aka Kate's parents home.  Last minute, we decided to take one last trip back to the house and help with the packing and moving.  By the time we got there majority of the packing was done so instead we took advantage of the last days to enjoy the pool.  We haven't really had a spring nor summer at home so we soaked up the beautiful weather.  As you can see by the pictures below, Hailie loves to swim!
Loving the water
Learning to swim by herself
Sun bathing with Aunt Kari
Yummy Popsicle
Going home
We did a lot of relaxing and having fun. Great trip!  We're sorry to lose our vacation spot but we're very excited to have Nana and Papa moving here.

While we were in So Cal, we took Hailie to Disneyland for her first visit but that will require a whole another post.
