Snow Angels

We've had a very weak winter.  Only a couple days of "good play outside" snow.  So we have take advantage of the little bit we've gotten.  This is Hailie laying on the patio where there was just enough snow to make snow angels.  She was in heaven!

It's not Christmas no more

Hailie's been asking if it's Christmas time. So we have to tell her "No, Christmas is over you'll have to wait until next year."  Then she says "oh, it's not Christmas no more" with a sad little face.  She says the cutest things.

Speaking of Christmas, we had such a great Christmas this year. It's no wonder she wants it to be Christmas all the time.  This year we went to California.  Northern instead of Southern this time.  It's been a long time since we spent more than a night or two in Danville so we had lots things we wanted to done/see.

1st up was Christmas.  Hailie was spoiled beyond spoiled again.  She really got the whole Santa thing this year so we had to put out cookies and milk. It was really fun to see her come out Christmas morning and see want Santa brought.  She was very excited and went into a bit of an overload from all the presents.
Santa must have thought she was really good this year.
After Christmas was over we did all the tourist things. 1st stop was Pier 39. It was typical San Francisco weather. Fog, fog and more fog but at least it wasn't too cold. The fog finally burned off about 4 but was back in by 6. We still had a nice day. Walked all over Pier 39 where Nana let Hailie pick an animal to stuff. She picked a koala which she named Boala. Then we walked up to Ghiradelli Square. The line was outrageous so we turned around and walked back to the pier.

The next day Trevor, Hailie and I took a drive up to Napa. We didn't realize it was only an hour way so we went up for the afternoon. Not much to do with a 2 year old but we had a really nice lunch and then did the loop drive around the winery's. We even had time to do a quick wine tasting at the Robert Mondavi winery. The whole drive we told Hailie that we were going to visit a castle (Castello Di Amorosa winery). Unfortunately by time we got there it was dark so she didn't get to see very much. She told us the princesses where all sleeping.

Next up was the Monterrey Bay Aquarium. This is the best aquarium. If you haven't been, I highly recommend it. It's not very big but they have a lot to see and do. The jellyfish and open sea exhibits have always been my favorite but they've added a new exhibit about seahorses which was amazing. After the aquarium we had lunch on the water where Tevor finally got to have his fresh seafood.

We had a really nice trip and it was great to spend time with family and friends we haven't see for a while.  Thanks Grandma Pat for letting us destroy your house for a week.  Thanks Mom and Dad for spoiling Hailie rotten and spending the week with us.  We love you all!

Here's a little slide show of all the fun we had before Christmas and while we were in California.
