Hailie's One!

Can you believe it? We can't. Hailie's ONE and no longer a baby. She's entered toddlerhood and of course we wanted to send her off right. We started her birthday weekend going out to dinner with her Granddad. Hailie got to blow out her 1st birthday candle. She was quite fascinated with the candle and of course LOVED the desert.

No she didn't get a credit card for her birthday. I think there may have been a little bit of desert on the card and Hailie wasn't about to let it go to waste or she likes the smell of plastic in which case her Daddy is in big trouble.

Sunday we had a big party at the house to celebrate her birthday. Of course, she had no idea this was all for her.

Her Nana and Aunt Kari made the birthday cake. This is the same cake design Kate and her siblings all had on their 1st birthday. A fun family tradition to carry on.

It was hard to get a good picture of her. We got quite a few shots of the back of her as she ran away. She's gotten very quick and has no desire to hold still.

And here she is enjoying her cake. She was pretty tired by this point and was a little out of it as she ripped apart the bears tummy. But I think she still enjoyed it!

And presents...all we can say is spoiled baby!

Hailie had a very good 1st birthday. Next year we'll tone it down some. We don't want her thinking she really is a princess! Thanks to everyone for making her birthday memorable!

And now to the 12 month update. As I'm sure you have gathered, she's off and running now and into everything. We can't baby proof fast enough. She is a handful these days. The only time we get her to sit still for more than a minute is when Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on. Thank goodness for Mickey.

Hailie is in the 25% percentile for weight yet she LOVES to eat. We taught her the sign for eat and now she walks around constantly making the sign and forget about going to the pantry or fridge without a little one by your side demanding something to eat. No idea where she puts it all. Her favorites are watermelon and ice cream.

She loves water. Whether it's bath time or swim time, doesn't matter it's all fun for Hailie. She thinks it great when we forget to pick up the pet's water bowls. She makes a huge mess and if we don't catch her quick enough many toys go for a swim.

Her new favorite toy is a Disney Princess cell phone. She walks around talking on it. Video coming soon.

Here is the 1 Year video. I got a little carried away with this one. There were just too many great pictures and fun memories. Hope you enjoy...
